Danedreamer Great Danes – Puppy Sale Agreement
This agreement is made between Danedreamer Great Danes (“Breeder”) and the Purchaser for the sale of the puppy described below.
1. Purpose & Use of Dog
This dog is sold strictly as a companion animal and/or working dog. No warranty or guarantee is provided regarding the dog’s suitability for any specific purpose beyond this.
The purchaser agrees that the dog will not be used for any illegal, unethical, or inappropriate activities, including but not limited to:

Breeding or reproduction of any kind

Semen collection or artificial breeding programs
-
Dog fighting or any form of animal combat
-
Pig hunting or high-risk hunting activities
2. Registration Status
This dog is sold on limited registration (non-breeding terms) unless otherwise explicitly stated in writing by the breeder. The dog is not to be bred under any circumstances.
3. Terms of Sale
This dog is not sold under co-ownership. The puppy is bred and sold to be a family companion.
Full payment must be received prior to collection or transfer of ownership. Accepted payment methods include cash or bank transfer, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
All payments are non-refundable, including:

Purchase price
-
Deposits / retainer fees
4. Health Disclosure
All white and Harlequin puppies are susceptible to vision or hearing congenital impairments. Congenital birth defects hearing / vision impairment (partial or complete deafness or vision quality), which has been fully disclosed to the purchaser prior to sale understanding condition is non-progressive in white and harlequin Great Danes.
The purchaser acknowledges:

This condition is non-progressive
-
It may be associated with pigmentation-related genetics
-
There may be a potential biological association with ocular differences, including conditions such as heterochromia or microphthalmia (not guaranteed)
By proceeding with the purchase, the buyer accepts the puppy in its current condition.
5. Refund Policy
Due to full disclosure of the possible above conditions:
-
No refund, exchange, or compensation will be provided for the disclosed hearing impairment.

This includes any associated or related conditions, including potential vision-related concerns.
Additionally, no refunds will be provided for the return of a dog due to general health conditions, including those outlined in this agreement as excluded or non-warrantable.
Refunds will not be provided under any circumstances unless agreed to in writing by the breeder. It is the new owners full responsibility financially to return the dog to the breeder where purchased.
6. Health, Return & Liability
If the puppy is found to be in poor health at or 48hrs after sale, the purchaser must notify the breeder immediately and provide veterinary documentation.
Where agreed by both parties, the breeder may resume possession of the dog.
From the date of sale, the breeder accepts no responsibility or liability for:

Contagious or infectious diseases
-
Congenital or hereditary conditions (unless otherwise stated in writing)
Return of the dog does not entitle the purchaser to any refund, reimbursement, or compensation, including where the return is related to health conditions.
7. Exclusions from Health Guarantee
The following conditions are not covered under any warranty, refund, or compensation, as they are considered common, preventable, or readily manageable with routine veterinary care:​
​Congenital traits commonly associated with white/harlequin Great Danes, including:

Deafness
-
Heterochromia or Microphthalmia in white/harlequins
These conditions are widely recognised as part of normal puppy development or environmental exposure and are typically manageable with appropriate prevention, care, and veterinary treatment.
8. Exclusions from Warranty (General Health Conditions)
No warranty is provided for conditions that are environmental, developmental, or influenced by care, including:

Skin conditions (acne, mange, etc.)
-
Conditions arising from poor nutrition or general care
-
Illness or injury occurring after the puppy leaves the breeder
The following conditions are specifically excluded:
-
Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD)
-
Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD)
-
Panosteitis
-
Bloat / Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV)
-
Deafness, Heterochromia or Microphthalmia in white/harlequins

9. Ongoing Care Responsibilities
The purchaser is responsible for the lifetime care and wellbeing of the dog, including:

Vet checking their new puppy within 48hrs of purchase
-
Completing vaccinations and maintaining an ongoing vaccination schedule
-
Routine veterinary care
-
Parasite prevention (worms, fleas, ticks, heartworm)
-
Providing a high-quality diet
-
Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment
-
Ensuring appropriate exercise, training, and socialisation
10. Expenses & Costs

From the time of collection, all costs become the responsibility of the purchaser, including:
-
Veterinary care
-
Medications and treatments
-
Transport or relocation
-
Any costs associated with returning the dog
The breeder accepts no responsibility for expenses incurred after the date of sale.

11. Lifetime Return to Breeder Policy
​
Danedreamer Great Danes will accept return of any dog at any time, regardless of age or circumstance.
If the purchaser can no longer keep the dog they agreed to:

Contact the breeder immediately
-
Not surrender the dog to a shelter or third party without breeder consent
The breeder is committed to the lifetime welfare of every dog bred.

Return & Transportation Responsibility
If the dog is to be returned to the breeder for any reason, the full responsibility for arranging and covering all costs of return lies with the purchaser.
This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Transportation or freight costs
-
Travel expenses
-
Any associated handling or accommodation costs
The breeder will not provide any compensation, reimbursement, or contribution toward these expenses.

12. Acknowledgement
​
The purchaser confirms:

They have read and understood all terms of sale and provided in booklet upon inspection and collection of their dog.
